CSAC Announces 2022 Softball End Of Year Awards

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) is proud to announce its 2022 Softball End of Year Awards. These awards include All-CSAC (First, Second and Honorable Mention teams), All-Sportsmanship, Player, Pitcher, Rookie and Coach of the Year as well as the 3-D Award.

Coaches of the nine teams in the league nominated their players, but, were not permitted to vote for their own players.

The 2022 Player of the Year went to Cedar Crest graduate student catcher Riley Tremblay. A first-team All-CSAC selection, she batted .431 with 50 hits and 46 runs. She collected 41 RBI while hitting eight doubles, six triples and three home runs.

The 2022 Pitcher of the Year went to Wilson graduate student Megan Potter. A first-team All-CSAC selection, she posted a 9-1 mark with an ERA of 0.77 ERA. In 64 innings, she had 103 strikeouts, while allowing just seven earned runs.

The 2022 Rookie of the Year went to Cedar Crest freshman shortstop Alexis Kline. A second-team All-CSAC selection, she batted .337 with 32 hits and 30 runs. She had four home runs and 20 RBI.

The 2022 Coach of the Year went to Cheri Morin of Notre Dame of Maryland. This year, she led the team to a 10-14 record overall and a 7-9 mark in CSAC play.

The 2022 3-D Award went to Clarks Summit University. Implemented for the 2011-12 academic year, the Colonial States Athletic Conference 3D Award replaced the CSAC Team Sportsmanship Award. The 3D Award recognizes the teams in each sport that best demonstrate the NCAA Division-III philosophy of "Discover, Develop, Dedicate." The 3D Award was conceived and developed by the CSAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
