Byrn Athyn, PA – On Saturday, the University of Valley Forge Men's Cross Country team competed in the CSAC Conference Championship race. The Patriots made history by winning their first ever CSAC conference title, adding to that this is Valley Forge's Cross Country program first conference title since entering the NCAA in 2016.
Head Coach Jimmy Stevenson commented on the men's performance, "Putting five Patriots in the top ten is no small feat. To put it simply, the men dominated, but that didn't happen just on race day. The pressure cooker has been patiently pressing the previous 364 days."
The Men's team scoring just 28 points in their historic victory. The men dominated to the point where they place 4 runners before any other opponent could place a second runner across the finish line. The top five runners had an incredible 29:52 average pace, which was 3 minutes under the second place team.
After it was all done, Coach Stevenson said, "For the men to take the title in a convincing fashion after the women's team victory, I'd imagine the team and fans may never forget this day. It was a special day."

Another notable achievement for Valley Forge was Ricardo Nunez winning the CSAC Rookie of the Year award. The accolades extended beyond the team and runners, as Coach Jimmy Stevenson won the CSAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year for this 2022 season.
