West Chester, PA - The UVF Patriots continued to pile up the school records as they competed at West Chester University in the Bill Butler Invitational. A total of five school records were etched in the record book as the teams continued to improve in 2026 under new head coach Neil Schafer.
Senior Sofia Troland continues to write her name in the UVF record book by breaking her own record in the 5000 meter run with a time of 21:50.82. Troland broke her own record by 26 seconds. Junior Brandon Perez broke two school records. He eclipsed Rhys Schoonmaker's shot put record of 9.68 meters by heaving the shot 9.75 meters. He also took down Schoonmaker's discus record of 24.75 meters with a throw of 25.46 meters. Junior Brandon Thompson established a new Patriot record in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 21.70. Freshman Edras Turcios-Valle lowered the 200 meter mark held by Yaone Badisang. Turcios-Valle's time of 23.95 was the first time in school history that the record dipped below 24 seconds.
Mona Koko continued her success this season with a 9th place finish in the shot put and a fourth place finish in the discus. Koko is ranked at or near the top of both events in the United East Conference.
"Valley Forge continued their march towards success. Good times were turned in by many today and we look forward to more in the future," said Schafer of his teams.

Other performances for the women's team include Brianna Walker 100 meters 18.80; Autumn Karampatsos in 200 meters 31.02; Megan Poniatowski 200 meters 36.47; Walker 200 meters 39.85; Karampatsos 400 meters 1:10.62; Poniatowski 400 meters 1:27.00; Karampatsos 800 meters 3:11.95; and Poniatowski 800 meters 3:29.36.
