Wakeman Reaches Century Mark

Wakeman Reaches Century Mark: Senior Records 100th Career Hit in Victory Over Sarah Lawrence

Milestone RBI Single Highlights Historic Achievement for Patriots' Ace

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – April 9, 2026 – In a moment that will be remembered in University of Valley Forge softball history, senior Harley Wakeman recorded her 100th career hit with a two-RBI single to center field in the top of the fifth inning during the Patriots' 20-8 victory over Sarah Lawrence College at Mary LeVine Stadium.

The historic hit came with Valley Forge already leading 9-7 in the fifth inning. With Clarissa Lockman on third, Melina Ragotzy on second, and Marissa Urner on third, Wakeman stepped to the plate and delivered a clutch single to center field that plated two runs and gave the Patriots an 11-7 advantage.

Wakeman's dual-threat ability has been a hallmark of her career at Valley Forge. As both the team's ace pitcher and a consistent offensive contributor, she has been instrumental in the Patriots' success throughout her four-year career.

The 100-hit milestone places Wakeman 1st among the elite in Valley Forge softball history. Her ability to contribute both on the mound and at the plate has made her one of the most complete players to ever wear a Patriots uniform.

Congratulations to Harley Wakeman on this remarkable achievement and her outstanding career as a Valley Forge Patriot!
