Phoenixville, PA – The University of Valley Forge (UVF) men's volleyball team delivered a dominant shutout, powering to a 3-0 sweep over Saint Elizabeth. This decisive victory marks UVF's first conference win of the season in United East play, elevating their record to 7-9 overall and 1-1 in the league.
UVF controlled the court from the opening serve, edging out the first set 25-22 with a gritty .111 hitting percentage and building from there. They exploded in the second set for a commanding 25-13 win, firing on all cylinders at .316 efficiency, before sealing the sweep in the third 25-20 with a solid .176 mark. The Patriots' offense tallied 27 kills on 80 attempts with just 12 errors, bolstered by a whopping 15 service aces and sharp defensive play that limited Saint Elizabeth's opportunities.
Standout performances fueled UVF's triumph, with outside hitter
Jayce Blanton leading the ace barrage with 5 service aces en route to 6 kills and 12.0 points.
Isaiah Reece powered through with 8 kills at .333 and 9.0 points, while
Ty Martin was flawless with 6 kills on .545 hitting for 6.0 points.
Drew White contributed 5 kills and 6.0 points, and setter
Tyler Patrick dished 3 aces alongside 2 kills for 5.0 points.
Dennis Lampreia added 4 aces and defensive hustle with 7 digs.
Saint Elizabeth, now 1-9 overall and 0-2 in conference play, showed fight led by Kennedy Ibezim's 7 kills for 7.0 points, but faltered with 16 errors and only 2 aces in the lopsided loss.
