Phoenixville, PA (Feb. 21, 2026) — The University of Valley Forge baseball team earned a split with SUNY Oneonta on Saturday, winning game one, 9–7, before falling 12–6 in the nightcap.

Game 1 — UVF 9, Oneonta 7 (7 innings)

UVF used a four-run fourth and a five-run sixth to earn the opener, finishing with 9 runs on 7 hits (2 errors), while Oneonta totaled 7 runs on 9 hits.

Juan Lopez powered the Patriots' offense, going 2-for-4 with a double and 4 RBIs, including a two-run single in the fourth and a two-run double during the sixth-inning surge. Brayden Tunnell added a double, went 1-for-1, scored two runs, and drew two walks, while CJ Fernandez chipped in an RBI single. UVF also got on base via hit-by-pitch six times and swiped three bases, led by Gabriel Murphy (2 SB) and Zack Haines (1 SB).

UVF's scoring included RBIs from Asijah Evelyn (RBI single), Aaron Zapata (RBI single), and Juan Lopez (RBI). The Patriots also manufactured offense on the bases, with Joey Demirjian and Asijah Evelyn each recording a stolen base.
