Valley Forge Men's Volleyball went on the road this past Friday February 2nd to take on Bryn Athyn (1-6). The Patriots once again took all three sets in a 3-0 Sweep! Bringing them to six straight sets won to start the season. 25-15, 25-16, and 25-23!
In the 1st set, Valley Forge went out to a commanding 10-4 set lead thanks in part to multiple points by Toby Harris and Nathan Whisman. Bryn Athyn was able to battle back however, going on a run of their own to bring the scoring to 18-14 before Valley Forge ran away with the set. A 7-1 point run by Valley Forge was able to finish the job with much thanks to Isaiah Brown with multiple assists and a Clay Confer kill. The second set was more competitive to start, but Valley Forge got ahead early and never looked back. Kills by Nathan Whisman, Clay Confer, and Toby Harris led the way in what would finish at 25-16. Valley Forge was looking for the sweep going into set 3 and they were going to have to earn it with the set finishing 25-23. After a 6 point run by Bryn Athyn to tie the scoring at 23-23, kills by Clay Confer and Nathan Whisman were able to put the game away. This brings our record to 2-0 to start the season.

Nathan Whisman led the team in Kills (13), Aaron Del Valle in Blocks (2), and Toby Harris in Aces (3).

Next game is on Sunday February 4th at King's College (PA). Game time is 12 PM.
