The University of Valley Forge women's volleyball team faced a tough Penn State Abington squad, falling 3-0 (10-25, 16-25, 5-25) in a conference match. Despite the loss, the Patriots displayed resilience and determination, highlighted by a competitive second set.

Rhena Lauver and Jada Flint led the offensive effort with four kills each, while Abigail Sumego contributed three aces and four digs to showcase her all-around game. Madelyn Oakley added six assists, facilitating the attack and keeping the team organized throughout the match.

Defensively, Mattayah Lyndaker anchored the back row with six digs, and Lauver added five to help the Patriots stay active against Abington's powerful hitters. The second set was a strong showing for UVF, as they fought hard to stay within striking distance and demonstrated their potential as a cohesive unit.

While the result didn't go their way, the Patriots continue to gain valuable experience as they work to improve and compete in United East play.
