Pittsburgh, PA – On Sunday afternoon, the Patriots dropped their final game of the road trip 97-60 to the Pioneers of Point Park University.
Cayleen Conrad led with way with a 20-point game, as
Carlee Conrad shortly followed with 18 points and 7 rebounds.
Alea Flowers had a solid contest as she tallied 12 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals.
Significantly outnumbered, the Patriots attempted to slow down their pace on the offensive end, but the Pioneers dominated inside the paint. With Point Park setting the tone, the Patriots trailed by 22 points at the halfway mark.
In similar fashion, the Patriots struggled to connect, allowing the Pioneers to dominate the second-half. After being held to a 30-percent shooting average, the Patriots fell to the Point Park, 97-60.
Point Park highlighted 33 assists, and outrebounded Valley Forge 46-48. As a team, the Pioneers went 42-72 (58.3%) from the field, and 9-26 from behind the arc (34.6%), while the Patriots collected 21-69 from the field (30.4%), 9-23 from the three (39.1%), and 8-14 at the line (57.1%).
