New York, NY – The University of Valley Forge Men's Soccer (5-3) team suffered its third loss of the season as the Bloodhounds of John Jay College (2-4) blanked the Patriots 7-0.
The Patriots were unable to find their footing in the first-half as John Jay scored in the first minute of the match from a cross, creating an early 1-0 lead. The Bloodhounds would then attack again in the 3
rd, and 7
th minute, changing the scoreboard 3-0. With a frustrated Patriot defense, John Jay managed to score three more additional goals in the first-half, building a strong 6-0 advantage.
The Bloodhounds maintained their high energy throughout the remaining 45 minutes, as they were able to distribute 7 shot attempts. The Patriots would try their hardest for a strike on the board, but couldn't find the back of the net. John Jay wrapped the game up with a final goal in the last minute, beating the Patriots 7-0.
The Bloodhounds held a 21-6 benefit on shots.
Valley Forge will look to get back into the win column as they welcome Marymount University to Phoenixville on Wednesday, September 25
th at 4:30 p.m.
