Hockessin, DE– The University of Valley Forge Men's Baseball team traveled to host a home game at Wilmington Christian School against the Wilson College Phoenix and lost 12-5.


Game 1


The Patriots went down early in the game, 10-1 by the end of the fourth. The squad found some life late in the sixth, coming off the bat of Chandler Beard who hit a double and advanced on an error to bring in Jonathan Pacheco and Richard Cosgrove. Jordan Pina and Jagger Blough followed up with a single and double respectively making the game 10-5. Sadly the run was stopped short by a pitching switch and The Patriots fell 12-5. Despite this there were some great showings from Jonathan Pacheco and Jordan Pina. The duo had 4 hits, 3 runs, and an RBI. Zach Sutherland takes the win for the Phoenix and Shashwat Chitnis takes the loss for the Patriots.
 

Whats Next?

 

The Patriots will play against Wilson College tomorrow at Chambersburg, PA. The game will be a double header and it will start at 12:00.
