Patriots Split Double Header VS Bearcats

Pheonixville, PA– The University of Valley Forge Women's Softball team played in a double header against the Baruch College Bearcats here at home. The Patriots split games with the Bearcats losing 1-9 in the first game, and winning the second game 10-3.

Game 1

The Patriots in the first game were doing a great job of getting on base, but fell short in converting those hits into runs. Carlee Conrad went 3 for 3 at bat and had the only run of the game. Abigail Foor had a solid game one as well going 3 for 2 at bat. The Bearcats took a commanding 6 run lead early on and ended the game 9-1 at the end of the 6th.  The win goes to Victoria Kisling for the Bearcats, and the loss goes to Jordyn Clarke for the Patriots.

Game 2

The Patriots turned it up in game 2 rallying back from a 3-2 lead. This all started with phenomenal hitting from Carlee Conrad, Cayleen Conrad, and Abigail Foor. The Trio combined for 7 hits, 3 RBI's, and 6 runs. The Patriots were able to tie the game up late in the 5th, then came out hot in the bottom of the sixth inning with 7 runs. Kimberly Acosta hit a huge double to left field which brought Haven Mayhew in and put a runner in scoring position. This on top of the fantastic pitching of Lindsay LeSeuer who allowed only three runs facing 29 at bats, and had 9 strikeouts in the game. The win goes to Lindsay LeSeuer for the Patriots and the loss goes to Victoria Kisling for the Bearcats.
