Clarks Summit, PA– The University of Valley Forge Men's Baseball team had a conference an away double header against the Clarks Summit University Defenders and dropped two close games 5-7 and 10-11.
Game 1
The Patriots went up early against the Defenders, leading 2-0 coming into the third inning, in large part due to the great hitting of Jefferey Espinal who went 3 for 4 in game 1 and added an RBI to his name. The Defenders struck back and ended up taking a 7 to 4 lead by the end of the 5th inning. The Patriots tried their best to fight back hard in the 6th inning, but could not come up with the win. The win goes to Noah Barnhart for the Defenders, the loss goes to Joseph Aguiar for the Patriots. Â

Game 2
Game 2 was even closer, with the Patriots falling by just one run. Jefferey Espinal shined bright again, this time pitching. He had 8 strike outs on 3 innings pitched and only allows 4 hits. A great deal of the squad was also able to hit well, with Richard Cosgrove, Cody Rak, and James Jackson all having a great game. They Accounted for 8 of the teams 16 hits and 4 RBI's. The win goes to Spencer Propst for the Defenders, the loss goes to Joseph Aguiar for the Patriots.
