Game Recap: Baseball |

Patriots Lose To Cyclones In Close Double Header

Phoenixville, PA– The University of Valley Forge Men's Baseball team had a conference double header against the Centenary University Cyclones at home and lost 12-0 and 12-7. This was senior day for the squad, they honored James JacksonShashwat Chitnis, and Waldo Odens Jr. who are all four years seniors for the team. We would like to share our thanks to the dedication of these three individuals.

Game 1

The Patriots could not find the ball in game one, despite some decent hitting from Jefferey Espinal and Cody Rak. They only were able to get six hits to the Cyclones fifteen. The win goes to Christopher Lilly for the Cyclones, the loss goes to Joseph Aguiar for the Patriots.

Game 2

The Patriots turned a full 180 in game two, coming to life and hitting like champs. This was in large part due to two big home runs from James Jackson and Cody Rak. James's home run put the squad back in the game, bringing it to within five runs by the end of the inning, Cody's home run also brought the game back to within 5 runs, despite being down since the first inning.

Whats Next?

The Patriots will play Clarks Summit University Thursday the 18th of April in a double header in Clarks Summit, PA.
