Patriots Lose in Close Double Header vs Bloodhounds
Myrtle Beach, NC. – The University of Valley Forge Men's Baseball team continues there trip to the Ripken Experience. The Patriots dropped two games to the Bloodhounds in a double header with scores resulting in 3-6 and 5-9.
Game 1
The Patriots were hurt by some early mistakes giving up the first two runs on errors. Despite the Bloodhounds scoring all six of their points by the end of the 4th inning, the Patriots were unable to create a big enough comeback to steal the win. Shashwat Chitnis took the loss for the Patriots. Sean Napier got the win for the Bloodhounds and also had two RBIs.
Game 2
In the second game the Patriots came out swinging with Jeffery Espinal singling to center field to bring in Jagger Blough for the first run of the game. Jagger Blough had two hits, two runs, and an RBI to by the end of the game. Unfortunately the Bloodhounds were able to put up points as well totaling nine runs by the end of the game. Despite Jeffery Espinal getting eight strikeouts the game was to far out of reach as he receives the loss. Jared Hershfield received the win for the Bloodhounds racking up nine strikeouts.

The Patriots will be continuing on at the Ripken Experience. There next game will be Thursday, March the 7th at 10 am, vs Chatham University.
