Patriots Win Two Great Games VS The Warriors

Phoenixville. PA – The University of Valley Forge Men's Baseball team had their home opener Saturday against the Vaughn College Warriors in a Double Header taking both games, respectively 16-5 and 13-6

Game 1

The Patriots dominated the first game with great pitching and amazing hitting. The stars of the game on offense were Zachary Nunnery and Jonathan Pacheco who had a combined 7 RBI's on 5 hits. Andre D'Cunha lead the pitching in game one only allowing 4 hits and stacking up 5 strikeouts. The win goes to Andre D'Cunha for the Patriots and the loss goes to Thomas Asis for the Warriors. 

Game 2 

The second game ended at the top of the 5th due to lack of lighting. This did not stop the Patriots from muscling out a good win, Keegan Kelly earned himself a great day with  4 strikeouts and no runs or hits allowed over 3 innings pitched. The team was also able to hit well, scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning. They were lead by James Jackson on offense who hit 100%, earned 2 runs and 2 RBI's as well as adding in a stolen base. The win for the Patriots goes to Keegan Kelly, the lose for the Warriors goes to Patrick Silv.

The Patriots next game is Sunday, March 31st against Christendom College in an away game.
