Myrtle Beack, SC. – The University of Valley Forge Men's Baseball team had there last game of the Ripken Experience. The Patriots lost to the Mounties 0-11.
Game 1
The Mounties played a strong game and hit well in the early innings getting 10 of there runs in by the top of the fourth. Jonathon Pacheco was then able to hold the Mounties to only one more run after coming in to pitch in the bottom of the fourth. He only allowed one run facing thirteen at bats and added a strikeout to his name as well. The win goes to Aaron Shinn for the Mounties and the loss goes to Shashwat Chitnis for the Patriots. The Ripken Experience was a great chance for the Patriots to get up to speed with there first games of the season, and a nice spring break trip for the young squad to build some chemistry.
Whats Next?
The Patriots will have there first home game of the season and we as the UVF family would love to have you all in attendance. The home opener will be played at 2:00 for a double header vs. Penn State Worthington Scranton Saturday the 16th of March.
