Phoenixville, PA – Despite a first-half goal from
Cayleen Conrad, the Patriots weren't able to hold on to hope as they fell 5-1 to NCAA Division II opponent, Lincoln University on Tuesday evening. With the loss, the Patriots move to 3-9 on the season.
With a promising start, the Patriots and Lions battled it out for possession, each dishing out attempts on goal. However, the Lions were lifted by a goal at 25:53, giving Lincoln the 1-0 advantage. Valley Forge would show a counterattack effort, eventually finding the back of the net from a

As the second-half begun, the Patriots were leaping for any scoring opportunity, but the Lions defense stood tall. The Patriots gathered poise as the Conrad duo would press offensively, gathering a few shot attempts but could not surpass the Lions keeper. At 68:01, Lincoln struck their fourth score of the evening, giving Kenya Davis a hat trick. The Lions were able to secure their fifth and final goal of the evening at 77:06, finalizing the match 5-1.

Kelsey Morrison stated. "Overall, we showed good effort, but we need to work on finishing."
Lincoln posted a 48-20 shot benefit, with 10-1 on corners.
