Phoenixville, PA - The University of Valley Forge Athletic Department is pleased to announce that Sean Word has earned player of the week honors.  

Sean Word is a double-double machine and a force to be recon with on the glass.  Playing against Penn State Brandywine, Sean brought down an incredible 27 rebounds.  By comparison, Brandywine had a team rebounding total of 35.  Word also poured in 20 points in the contest.  Four days later, the Patriots squared off against the Bobcats of Bryant and Stratton.  Sean was able to record his second double-double of the week with 13 points and 13 rebounds.  In total he has recorded six double-doubles this season.
