Cross Country Standout Recognized for Excellence in Competition, Classroom, and Community
PHOENIXVILLE, PA – The University of Valley Forge is proud to announce that senior Sofia Troland has been named a United East Senior Scholar Athlete, one of just six student-athletes from four different member institutions to earn this prestigious recognition.
The award honors a senior who truly represents the student-athlete model by excelling in competition, in the classroom, and around the community—a standard Troland has exemplified throughout her four-year career as a Patriot.
"Sofia Troland has had a lasting impact on UVF's Cross Country program and Athletic Department," said Samantha David, Head Cross Country Coach. "She has deep tenacity, heart, and drive that has pushed her to race hard, complete workouts well, and always be ready to lead our team in worship and prayer. She has been a leader and a positive influence within this sport and on our campus as a student-athlete and our SAAC President!"
The Senior Scholar Athlete award represents the pinnacle of student-athlete recognition in the United East Conference, acknowledging those rare individuals who achieve the highest standards in all aspects of collegiate life.
Troland joins an elite group of honorees from across the conference, representing the very best of what it means to be a student-athlete in the United East.
Congratulations to Sofia Troland on this well-deserved honor!
