Langhorne, PA – The University of Valley Forge Women's Volleyball team went on the road for a match against the Cairn University Highlanders. The Patriots lost the decision in straight sets.
The scoring remained close in the beginning moments of the first set. Cairn went on a big 15-2 run to close out the first set by a score of 25-9. Going through a schedule like the Patriots have, they have never given up and continue to prove to be a resilient group. Cairn would again build a big lead. Giana Brown brought the Patriots to within 4. UVF picked up 3 more points thanks to a
Kaitlyn Hess kill and two Highlander attack errors. The Patriots erased a once 12-point deficit to just 2. Cairn was able to close out the second set on a 3-0 run and win by a score of 25-20. The Highlanders wasted little time building a lead in what would be the third and final set. Cairn cruised to a 25-11 third set win. The Patriots will be back in action on Saturday, September 22nd when they host a tri-match against Alfred State and Rosemont College.
