Box Score Phoenixville, PA - The University of Valley Forge Women's Soccer team opened their 2017 season in a big way against the Cougars of
Medgar Evers College on Friday afternoon. The Patriots poured it on all afternoon and beat the Cougars by a final score of 12-0.
It did not take long for the Patriots to score their first goal in the 2017 season. Senior
Kelsey Morrison found the back of the net just minutes into the game. 4 minutes later, Morrison again, found pay dirt.
Haven Mayhew found a wide open Morrison who put the ball past the keeper to give Valley Forge a 2-0 lead early in the first half.
Emily Hinton and
Haven Mayhew added goals just 2 minutes apart that increased the Patriots lead to 4-0. Two more goals by
Emily Hinton and
Summer Paisley made the score 6-0 entering halftime.
The second half looked very much like the first half. UVF went on to score six more times in the second frame. Goals by

Summer Paisley,
Emily Hinton and Michelle Candelario rounded out the scoring barrage.

Emily Hinton each scored 3 times to complete the hat trick. The Patriots took down the Medgar Evers Cougars by a final score of 12-0.
With the win the Patriots start the season 1-0.
