Box Score ANKENY, IA- The Patriots bid for a National Championship came to a halt Thursday night, as they fell to the #3 seeded Tigers of Grace Bible College 78-62.

The game got off to a slow start, 5 minutes in, Cody Collins hit a 3 that put the Patriots behind 5-6. At 13:59 Jerome Staley's jumper would tie the game 7-7. With 10:56 to go in the 1^st half, the Patriots took their first lead, 15-14, when David Whitaker made 1 of 2 free throws. A minute later Devin Williams hit a 3 to extend the lead to 18-14. With 5:34 to go in the 1^st, the Tigers would pull within 1, 26-25, and then they would go on a run. They would go on a 14-0 run to end the half, and go in with the lead 39-26.

4 minutes into the 2^nd half the Patriots would cut the Tigers lead to 8 when Sean Word would make both free throws. That would be the closest the Patriots would come. The Tigers would lead by as many as 24. They would go on to win 78-62 and move on to the Final Four.

Devin Williams and Thorne McIntosh led the Patriots with 14 points each. Jerome Staley had 10 points and 6 assists.

The Patriots will now play for 5^th place. They will take on Pensacola Christian on Friday, March 11^th, at 3:30PM.
