Box Score LOUISVILLE, KY- Thursday was the opening round for the Patriots in the NCCAA Division II Mideast Region Tournament hosted at Boyce College. The Patriots took care of business, as they cruised to a 91-73 victory over the #6 seeded Crown College.

For the Patriots, 11 different players recorded 2 points or more in the victory. The leading scorer was Cody Collins with 17, followed by Thorne McIntosh with 16, and then Devin Williams with 15.

With the victory, UVF now advances to the Semifinals on Friday, where they will take on the #2 seeded Knights of Kentucky Christian University at 4pm. Back in November, the Patriots defeated the Knights 76-69 in the Infinito's Tip-Off Classic in Phoenixville, PA. A lot of basketball has been played since then, and the Knights will look to avenge that loss. The winner of this game will advance to the Regional Finals where they will face the winner of #1 seeded Johnson Bible College and #4 Piedmont International University. That game will be played Saturday at 3pm.

The last two seasons the Patriots have made it to the finals, but lost both times to Lancaster Bible College. Their last Regional title came in 2013 when they beat Lancaster Bible College 70-55.
