PHOENIXVILLE, PA – The University of Valley Forge Baseball Team played against Lincoln Christian University in double-header action on Sunday. After a 22-4 loss in the first game, the Patriots played much stronger defense in the second game, but lost by a final score of 6-0.

Jared Boothman continued their hot start as each player collected two hits in game one. Senior lead-off man
Bryce Koch scored twice for the Patriots.
In game two, Koch went 2 for 4 from the plate, while Boothman went 3 for 3. However, the Patriots lineup were not able to plate any runs. Boothman is now hitting .486 for the season.
Jeffrey Thrappas pitched a solid game for the Patriots, striking out 6 batters in 7 innings of work.
The Patriots will have to rebound quickly as they travel to take on Lancaster Bible College in an East Region double-header on Monday.
