LANCASTER, PA - The University of Valley Forge Baseball Team went up against East Region opponent Lancaster Bible College on Monday afternoon. Only having nine guys in the lineup, several players were able to gain valuable experience. However, it was clear from the first inning of game one that the Patriots were outmatched.
The Chargers took an early 8-0 lead after the 1st inning and cruised on to victory, 16-0. Chargers' Nate Burns threw the first no-hitter in Lancaster Bible College history.
Game two saw much of the same as Patriots'
Matthew Buckery and
Chase Hornberger collected the teams only hits. LBC went on to win game two by a final score of 10-0.
The Patriots only other game this week will be Thursday afternoon @ Home against University of Maine-Presque Isle. The first pitch of the double-header is set for 2PM.
