DOVER, DE - The University of Valley Forge Men's Baseball traveled to Wesley College on Sunday for a double header match-up against the Wolverines.
In game one, the Patriots trailed 2-1 after freshman
Matthew Buckery doubled in
Bryce Koch.  However, the next two innings saw the Wolverines bring 8 runs across the plate to build a 10-1 lead. In the 6th inning
Jonathan Manning doubled to score
Jeffrey Thrappas and
Jared Boothman scored on a failed pick-off attempt.  It was as close as the Patriots would get as Wesley went on to win game one, 14-3.
Jonathan Manning pitched all seven innings for the Patriots.
In the second game, the Patriots could not get much going at the plate as they had a combined three hits for the game.  The Wolverines pitching was very strong, and they went on to win 17-0.
The Patriots will now get ready for a Wednesday double header at Penn State Schuylkill.  The two teams met in Myrtle Beach earlier this season, with Schuylkill winning by a final score of 8-5.  It was the first game of the season for the Patriots.  The first pitch is set for 2PM.
