KNOXVILLE, TN – The University of Valley Forge Women's Basketball team took on Johnson University-Tennessee in their final game of the road trip. The Royals were too much for the Patriots in this contest. They went on to defeat Valley Forge, 91-38.
Madison Arrowsmith was a bright spot for the Patriots. She scored a team-high 12 points on 4-7 from 3-point range.
Mikala Brinson also poured in 8 points and had 3 steals.
The Royals jumped out to early lead, and did not look back. The Patriots did not have an answer for their hot shooting from behind the 3-point line. Johnson shot 11-21 from long range for the game. Royals' Tiffany Smelcer was 7-9 from behind the arc and scored a game-high 23 points. They had five players in double figures, controlled the boards, and tallied up 24 assists.
The team will return to action this Monday night against Cedar Crest College. The game will tip-off at 6PM, followed by the men's game at 8PM.
