PHOENIXVILLE, PA- The Builders of Newport News Apprentice School would come back from down 14 at the half to win 72-71 in the Pit on Saturday.
The Patriots would lead by as much as 18 in the first half, and would go into it up 44-30. The Builders would chip away at that, and take the lead with just under a minute to play. The Builders were up by 2 with 20 seconds to go, but the Patriots could not knock down a shot. They would then foul with 6 seconds left. Zach Johnson would hit both free throws to seal the win for the Builders.
Devin Williams led the scoring for your Patriots scoring 14.
Thorne McIntosh and DeAndre Gadsden both had 10.
With the loss, the Patriots fall to 2-6. Their final game before the break will be Saturday, December 12
th, as travel to Washington, D.C. to face Gallaudet University. Tip-off is set for 4pm.
