WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Patriots traveled Saturday to face the Bison of Gallaudet University, in their last action of the semester. A poor shooting day for the Patriots, led to a 52-81 loss. The Patriots shot only 29.6% from the field, going 16-54.
In the first half, the Bison went on a 20-5 run in the first ten minutes of the game to open up a 15 point lead. The Patriots tried to comeback as they cut the lead to 6 on a 3 pointer by
Devin Williams with 5:39 left. The Bison would charge right back with a 14-3 run to end the half and give them a 17 point lead, 38-21.
The Patriots shooting woes continued into the second half. More lopsided runs would allow Gallaudet to lead by as much as 36 points. They would wind up winning by 29, with your final score 81-52 in favor of the Bison.
Trey Gordon would lead all scorers, as the Gallaudet guard scored 17. Joshua McGriff also had 16 for the Bison.
Devin Williams led the Patriots with 13 points.
Thorne McIntosh would be next with 7.
With the loss, the Patriots fall to 2-7 on the season. This was their last game of the semester. The team will come back after break and travel to Moore, Oklahoma where they will compete in the Hudlberg Tip-Off Classic from January 7-9.
