Patriots Drop Close One

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, PA- The University of Valley Forge Patriots traveled on Monday to face the Nittany Lions of Penn State Schuylkill.

The Nittany Lions opened the scoring early when Amhad Abdelmuti scored in the 11th minute to take an early 1-0 lead. That would remain the score going into the half.

In the second half, the Patriots came out with a spark as Matthew Robinson scored in the 51st minute knotting the game at 1-1. The score stayed tied until the 65th minute when Matt Fink scored what would be the game winning goal. The Nittany Lions would go on to win 2-1. The Nittany Lions outshot the Patriots 15 (8) to 14 (5).

The Patriots will return to action on Monday, October 12th when they host Fisher College. Game time is set for 4pm.
