PHOENIXVILLE, PA- The women's soccer team traveled to Cedar Crest College to play in the first round of the Cedar Crest Soccer Classic.  The Patriots were first matched up against City College of New York and suffered a 1-10 loss.

The game got off to a quick start with the Beavers recording two goals in under 15 minutes.  The Lady Patriots answered right back with a goal of their own, netted from freshman Kelsey Morrison at the 24:03 mark.  Trailing by just one goal the Lady Patriots continued to press forward looking to tie the game.  The Beavers continued to push back, recording another three goals before the half. 

Coming back after the break, the Lady Patriots continually committed simple errors, allowing the Beavers to record another five goals by the time the game closed out.

The team returns to the field to play in the second round of the Cedar Crest Soccer Classic, Sunday, September 7.   The women will play Lehman College at 12PM.
