CRESSON, PA- The Valley Forge Christian College men's soccer team traveled to Cresson, Pa. to play against host school, Mount Aloysius. In a physically aggressive game, the Patriots were outmatched by the offensive power of the Mounties and lost by a final score of 1-10.
From the whistle the Mounties put the Patriots to the test, recording their first goal in less than five minutes. From that moment, the Mounties netted a slew of goals spanning the remaining 85 minutes. The men were finally able to get on the board with a single unassisted goal from freshman
Selom Dodoh.
"It was a very physical game and despite the loss we still continued to take steps forward. We put together some good strings of passes but we are still suffering from inexperience", stated Head Coach Vernon Dorsey.
Selom Dodoh recorded his first unassisted goal of the season.
The men's soccer team returns home for their contest, hosting Penn State Schuylkill. The match is set to take place Monday, September 8, at 4PM.
