HAZELTON, PA- The men's soccer team traveled out to Penn State Hazelton to compete in their final game of the week.  The Patriots' offense was restrained by the hosting Lions and were denied the road victory, 0-5.

The game started off fairly even, with the score holding at 0-0 until Hazleton broke through the Patriot's defenses for the first goal of the game at the 10:48 mark.

After pulling ahead 1-0, the game settled back in to a scoreless, defensive battle, with both teams coming up just short of any goals.  In the 31^st minute, Hazleton marched down the field and scored, followed by a quick goal soon after in the 34^th minute to put the halftime score with Penn State ahead 3-0.

The second half started off with another quick goal, with Penn State scoring less than five minutes into the half on a Joseph Torres goal.  After continuing the offensive pressure, Penn State was able to find the net one more time with a goal by Steven Principe at the 58:53 mark.  The goal was his fourth of the game, and put Penn State up 5-0, the score that the game ultimately ended at.

The Patriots were able to notch 12 shots, with four of them being on goal, though none found their mark today.  Hazleton put 10 of their 23 shots on goal, and accrued 4 assists on their five goals for the day.

The men return home for their next competition, hosting Penn State Wilkes Barr on Monday, September 29.  The Patriots host the Lions at 4:30PM.
