READING, PA- The Valley Forge Christian College women's softball team competed in a double header match-up against Albright College, Sunday, April 6. Offensively restricted, the Lady Patriots dropped both games to the Lions.
Combining for just three hits between the two games, VFCC's offense was disabled by the nearly perfect pitching from the Lions' mound. It appeared promising in the first inning of game one, with the women loading the bases and ready to record a run but Albright gathered themselves before the real damage was done and bring the inning to a close with the Lady Patriots on all bases.
From that point, VFCC appeared helpless to compete against the Lions' bullpen. By the end of the day the Lady Patriots dropped game one, 0-17, and game two, 0-23.
Amanda McGinness,
Elizabeth Swan and
Samantha Reed recorded one hit each for the Lady Patriots.
The women travel for their next double header against Penn State Schuylkill. The game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, at 2pm.
