READING, PA- The Valley Forge Christian College baseball team traveled to Albright College to compete in their first game of the week. Scheduled for just a single competition, the Patriots fell to the Lions, 0-17.
The Patriots etched just two hits against the Lions' pitcher, recording a double from freshman
Steven Profetto in the top of the second inning and a single up the left side from
Matt McKenzie before the close of the eighth inning. The game was called before the close of the ninth due to darkness.
Freshman player
Jonathan Hadinger pitched in his very first college baseball game against Albright, striking out two batters while allowing his defense to work, grabbing 12 fly outs and four groundouts.
The team travels again for their next game, facing Lancaster Bible College on Thursday, April 24. The first of two games is scheduled for a 2pm start.
