SCRANTON, PA- Playing through a downpour, the Patriots were limited to just five innings before yielding to the Marywood University Pacers, 0-13.
Scheduled for a double header, the Patriots raced against the weather as the rain came down heavier with each inning. The team couldn't develop an answer for the Pacer's pitcher and after giving up five runs in the first inning and six in the second, Marywood. After the Patriots batted in the top of the fourth inning, the game was called due to severe weather. Game two was cancelled after a period of time as it was evident the weather wouldn't cease.
The Patriots return home for their game against East Region competitor, Baptist Bible College, Saturday, April 12. The first of two games is set to start at 1pm.
