PHOENIXVILLE, PA- The men's basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak when they hosted Penn State Lehigh Valley, Thursday, February 6, and defeated them with an easy 20-points advantage, 71-51.
The first six minutes of the game went back and forth between the Patriots and Lions, but finally at the 14:44 mark the Patriots went on a roll. Pushing their advantage into the double-digits, the men pressured the Lion's at every opportunity to force 13 turnovers and control the boards, 16-10. Going into the break the Patriots led the Lions 38-25.
Into the second half the men continued to extend their lead. Both teams shot 37% percent from paint but what it really came down to was the charity stripe. The Patriots stepped up to the line 14 times and went 12-14, compared to the Lion's three trips and going 1-for-3.Â
At the end of the night,
Kevin Mack,
Lance Harris,
Jean LeBlanc and
Antonio Malone each notched double-digit points.Â
Lance Harris recorded 15 points, nine rebounds and two assists while
Kevin Mack noted 15 points and six rebounds.Â
Jean LeBlanc tallied 10 points while
Antonio Malone reached 12 points for the night.
The Patriots return to the road for their next game against Penn State Schuylkill, Saturday, February 8. The game is set to start at 3 pm!
