PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. – On the Wednesday, January 30, the women's basketball team hosted the Penn State Brandywine Lady Lions. The Patriots slow start in the first allowed to Lions to hold a solid lead throughout the game, and finally defeat the Patriots, 66-32.
The Patriots' energy seemed next to nil coming out against the Lions. Whether it was injury or sickness, the women just seemed unable to get a burst of energy to challenge the opposition. A few short spurts of defensive pressure kept the Patriots in the game for a time, but a first-half mix of high turnovers a low shooting percentage, the women dug a hole too deep to crawl out of in the second period.
Amanda McGinness recorded a double-double, grabbing 13 rebounds and knocking down 11 points.
Mikala Brinson recorded 15 points along with four steals.
The women turn right around and host Bryn Athyn College, Thursday, January 30. The begins at 7 pm!
Go Patriots!
