PHOENIXVILLE, PA- The women's soccer team sustained another loss on Saturday, September 28 to Christendom College. The Patriots were unable to utilize their offense and fell to the Crusaders, 0-4.
Defensively, the Patriots played a solid game, fending off the Crusader attacks to keep them off the board. Around the 18 minute mark, a Christendom striker broke through the line to record the first goal of the game. Despite being down on the board, the Patriots continued to pursue their own goal, continually moving the ball into the Crusaders territory. Regrettably, the offense could not finish their shots to record a goal for the home team.
With continual attack from the Crusaders, the Patriots defenses were worn down, allowing the visitors to score three more goals before the game came to a close.
The Patriots stay home for their next match-up, hosting Trinity Washington University on Wednesday, October 2. Earlier this season the Tigers and the Patriots tied in double overtime. The ladies are excited for the rematch and look to come out with the win!
Go Patriots!
