ALLENTOWN, PA – The Valley Forge Christian College women's soccer team notched their first win of the season on Tuesday night, defeating the Cedar Crest College Falcons by a 2-1 final score.
Cedar Crest controlled much of the first half, possessing the ball and outshooting the Lady Patriots 16-2, but Valley Forge held the advantage where it mattered, on the scoreboard. Sophomore forward

th minute, snagging her second goal in as many games, giving VFCC the halftime advantage.

Kelli Noecker ripped a shot past the Falcons goalie to tally her first goal of the season.
As the seconds ticked away in the second half, the Falcons continued to rip shot after shot at VFCC junior net minder
Amanda McGinness, who stood tall in her net and recorded twelve saves on the day. Her lone blemish on the day came off of a Falcon corner kick that snuck past the defense and found the back of the net.
Head coach Karla Polli said after the game; "(Amanda) McGinness played an amazing game for us, making several key saves down the stretch keeping us ahead of a faster team.
Rachel Stormes has stepped up her game offensively and is finding the back of the net.

Valley Forge will be back on the pitch on Saturday when they host Mt. Aloysius College. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:30 pm.
