PHOENIXVILLE, PA- The Valley Forge Christian College men's soccer team found themselves unable to answer the offensive power of Penn College of Technology, losing by a final score of 0-8.
The Patriots managed to put pressure on the Wildcats, forcing several errors but could not find a way to turn it to their advantage. The Wildcats did the most damage in the first half, scoring five goals before the break. After halftime, the Patriots made attempts to move the ball to the net, but each time could not finish it off.
"Matt McKenzie and Matt Robinson played a solid game. We are still a young team learning how to trust one another on the field but in time it will come together," stated Head Coach Vernon Dorsey. "Nearly all of our players are in their first year and as the season progresses so will they."
The Patriots remain at home for their next match, hosting Cabrini College on Wednesday, September 18. Kick-off is schedules for 4 pm.
