PHOENIXVILLE, PA.- The Valley Forge Christian College women's soccer team fell to regional rival Baptist Bible College, Saturday, September 14, with a final score of 1-5.
Â
With both teams looking for their first win, the intensity was high as the game became more and more physical as time went on. The Baptist Bible College Defenders went up on the board first, scoring three goals by the end of the first period. The Patriots managed to only take four shots on goal, compared to the Defenders' 14.Â
Â
Coming back from the half, sophomore Rachel Stormes redirected a deflected pass off a Defender to find the back of the net to put the Patriots on the board, 1-3. However, it would be the only goal for the ladies as the Defenders recorded two more goals before the end of the game.
Â
Rachel Stormes had two shots on goal and one unassisted goal.
Â
Kelli Noecker recorded seven shots and two shots on goal.
Â
The Lady Patriots head out on the road again for their next match against Cedar Crest College. The Falcons host the Patriots on Tuesday, September 17, at 4 pm.
