LANCASTER, PA- The Valley Forge men's basketball team dropped their second straight road game, Thursday, February 8, against the Lancaster Bible College Chargers by a final score of 65-70.
The Patriots trailed the Chargers for the majority of the game, but managed to take the lead, 65-64, with 1:08 left in the game! However, the lead would be short lived, as Chargers' guard Keith Keltner drilled a three-pointer to reclaim the lead, 65-67. On the proceeding possession, the Patriots turned the ball over and were forced to foul. Lancaster's Cory Leonard went 1-for-2 from the free-throw line, still leaving a window of opportunity for a Patriots' comeback. With 18 seconds left, the Patriots still had a chance. However, they would commit a second consecutive turnover, which sealed their fate.
Lance Harris recorded 25 points and four rebounds. Harris went 9-for-9 at the foul-line.
Kevin Mack scored 19 points, four rebounds, and three steals.
