PHOENIXVILLE, PA- The Patriots competed in the second round of the Holiday Inn Express Tip-Off Classic, Friday, November 23.  The women took on Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College, falling 45-90 to the Lady Saints.

The ladies knew that this season would come with its bumps, with just two sophomore returning players and the rest freshman.  The team has started to find small spurts of rhythm against their opponents, as evident in their game against the Saints, but continues to hit lull periods that find the gap in score too wide to overcome. 

Mikala Brinson is proving to be the leading scorer for the team, notching 15 points for the night combined with four rebounds and one block.  Ariene Ohimor dominated at the boards, grabbing 18 rebounds.  Taniyah Faison recorded 12 points for the Patriots.

"It's slow but we are starting to do things right.  We are such a young team and we knew it would take time to find our identity as a team and weed out the unnecessary mistakes.  It will continue to take time, but I know we will continue to make progress.

The women play in the final day of the classic, Saturday, November 23.  The Patriots' final opponent is Kentucky Christian University.  The game is set to start at 4 pm!
