PHOENIXVILLE, PA- The women's basketball team fell to the Lincoln Christian University Lady Lions by a score of 73-42 on Thursday, November 21, 2013.
The Lions were led by Alicia Carson, who dominated the paint with 14 rebounds, 12 points and four assists.
Three other Lincoln players reached double-digits in scoring. Moriah Kirkpatrick recorded 17 points, three assists and two steals. Tatiana Colclasure notched 14 points, four assists and two steals. Abby Akre tacked on 14 points and nine boards.
The Patriots' top contributors were
Mikala Brinson,
Amanda McGinness,
Patience Ekuta, and
Ariene Ohimor. Brinson tallied 21 points while drilling five three-pointers. McGinness finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and seven steals. Ekuta had three steals while Ohimor shared the team high in rebounds with eight.
The tale of the tape was rebounding. The Patriots, who were very much at a height disadvantage, struggled to grab rebounds. Lincoln out-rebounded Valley Forge 52-53.
The women play in the second stanza of the Holiday Inn Express Tip-Off Classic Friday, November 22. The Patriots go up against Hillsdale Free Will Baptist at 6 pm!
