LANCASTER, PA - Trailing a point with seven seconds remaining, it looked as if Lancaster Bible was about to hand the Patriots their first East Region loss of the season.  However, the Patriots were able to push the ball down court for a dump off pass and a lay-up with just under two seconds remaining to bring the Patriot fans to their feet!  The Patriots emerged victorious, with a score of 53-52.

This game was close from the tip.  It was locked up at 23-23 at the half and the back-and-forth lead exchanges continued on through most of the second half.

It was just past the midway mark of the second half when the Patriots went on a 12-2 run, to go up by 10 points with about five minutes remaining.  Over the course of the next five minutes, the Chargers methodically chipped away at the Patriots' lead.  It was with seven seconds left, that it seemed as if the Patriots' backs were against the wall.  Lancaster Bible's Kevin Keltner sank an incredible dribble step back jump shot from just outside the left elbow of the key.

After a time-out, the Patriots inbounded the basketball to Donnell Davis, who quickly dribbled the basketball the full length of the floor.  Donnell was able to thread a short dump off pass to Michael Stum who was waiting by the basket.  Stum's lay-up fell through the net just in time and not a second too early.
With just two seconds remaining, it would be difficult for Lancaster to get a good look at the basket.

Michael Stum finished with 18 points for the Patriots.  Stum also earned eight rebounds, four steals, and three blocked shots.

Steve Sims tallied 10 points and three steals.

Donnell Davis finished with a game-high of five steals.
