ABINGTON, PA –
Michael Stum and
Andrew Godwin recorded season-high statistics in the Valley Forge's Saturday (Jan. 22) victory over Penn State Abington.
Michael Stum (Manheim, PA, Manheim Central High School) posted season-highs in points (31) and rebounds (19) and had tacked on three steals. The undersized Penn State Abington struggled to limit the Patriots' interior offense.
Meanwhile,
Andrew Godwin (Fairfax, VA, Fairfax High School) led the way for the Patriots' perimeter offense. Godwin drilled five three-pointers en route to a season-high 17 points.
The Patriots led throughout, but never really found a rhythm. They maintained a comfortable lead for the majority of the game. Penn State Abington cut the lead to 10-points midway through the second half, but the Patriots would eventually pull away for good.
Junior
Justin Kinsey (Philadelphia, PA, International Christian High School) recorded another near double-double with 16 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and four steals.
James Franklin (Philadelphia, PA, Father Judge High School) notched three assists.
