Jimmy Smuda serves as the Team Chaplain and Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of Valley Forge, bringing a unique blend of spiritual leadership and competitive experience to the Patriots program. Known for his heart for ministry and mentorship, Coach Smuda plays a vital role in shaping the culture and character of the team both on and off the court.
In addition to his work at UVF, Coach Smuda is the Lead Pastor at Trinity Assembly of God in West Chester, Pennsylvania. His pastoral leadership and passion for discipleship have allowed him to invest deeply in the lives of student-athletes, helping them grow in faith, purpose, and identity.
As Team Chaplain, Coach Smuda provides spiritual guidance, leads team devotionals, and fosters an environment where faith and athletics are fully integrated. As an Assistant Coach, he contributes to the daily operations of the program, with a focus on relationship-building, leadership development, and supporting the holistic well-being of each player.
