Joe Clancy

In 2023 Coach Clancy is entering his third year as the Head Baseball Coach at Valley Forge. In the past two years Coach Clancy has overseen the Baseball program reach new heights. UVF Baseball has seen its best finishes in the CSAC conference, earning a 6th place finish in 2021 & a 5th place finish in 2022. This includes the most conference wins that UVF Baseball has seen in a single season since joining the NCAA & CSAC conference. Coach Clancy also has overseen the largest Baseball roster that UVF has seen in its all-time history as well. 

Prior to Valley Forge, Clancy served as the Assistant Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Eastern University in St. David's, Pennsylvania from 2017-2020. During his time with the Eagles, Clancy assisted with the day-to-day operations of the program while specializing in pitching, player development, operations, fundraising and recruiting.

In addition to Eastern, Clancy was a member of the All-Star Baseball Academy in the Greater Philadelphia Area as a part-time Coach and Instructor, Sales Consultant, Future Starz Operations Assistant, Showcase Director, Group Program Leader, and Baseball Advisor. Clancy specialized in pitching, hitting, and fielding. Additionally, he assisted the operations for all summer and fall tournaments, as well as staffing events with collegiate coaches. Due to this, Clancy was selected to lead and direct ASBA showcase tournaments throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Lastly, Clancy served as the Basepath Advisor for clients and players of all ages, developing training plans and providing guidance for the transition through all levels of baseball.

Clancy was a member of the marketing team for the Philadelphia Phillies from February 2013-2014, where he assisted all fans in activities and promotions provided by the organization, as well as the corporate sponsors. Clancy then transitioned to the front office as an intern, wearing many hats for the 2014 season where he assisted the Management, Scouting, Ticket Sales, Marketing, Community Outreach, Ballpark Operations, and Fan Development Departments with their day-to-day operations.

Coach Clancy graduated from Eastern University in December 2016 where he was a member of the baseball team with Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a minor in Finance. Clancy returned to Eastern as a Graduate Assistant where he earned a Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management in April 2020.  

Coach Clancy currently resides in Phoenixville, PA with his wife Mary Cate Clancy.
